On This Day In History

On this day in history, the Vikings conducted their first raid in England, James Madison introduced 12 proposed amendments to the United States Constitution, Tennessee seceded from the Union, and Japanese submarines shelled Sydney, Australia.  Born on this day were Frank Lloyd Wright, Suharto, Barbara Bush, Joan Rivers and Boz Scaggs.
