What's Blooming In Winter

A bee's eye view of what's blooming in the front yard right now.   Above, a miniature chrysanthemum.  And below, a buttery yellow jonquil, with the sweetest scent in the garden.

The gallardias, below, have been blooming nonstop through every season.  This one is called "Goblin" - besides being an ever bloomer, it reseeds itself prolifically and snail and slugs don't like it.

Oh California spring - how I miss it - but how I will treasure the spring in Wa after the rains finally stop. Lovely photos.
