What's Blooming In Summer

So far so good with this new addition to the front flower border. It's a mulla mulla, native to Australia, touted as a drought tolerant (once established), subtropical perennial. The foliage has a succulent like appearance, with abundant, long lasting flowers in a shade of purple and texture that was hard to resist. My goal had been to have mostly purple and orange flowers in the front, but that plan fell by the wayside when irresistible blue, yellow, pink, red and white flowers crossed my path.
