In The Garden

One of my favorite things about gardening is collecting and scattering flower seeds. Impatiens can be counted on to self sow furiously, which they do by means of exploding seed pods. The one above is being used temporarily by a spider to anchor his web.

The morning sunlight is shining right through this pod, highlighting the seeds inside.

Surprisingly, the daffodil bulbs have broken ground and some are already 6-12 inches tall. No telling what this bodes for winter weather.
