Another Art Nouveau Poster

To get their messages out, before the advent of radios and televisions, advertisers relied on lithographed posters with bold graphics that caught people's attention. This 1895 art nouveau poster advertised Albert Morris Bagby's novel "Miss Traumerei" and probably hung in book store windows. The artist was Ethel Reed.

I collected art nouveau images at one time. A gorgeous art movement.

Love the way the lady in this one is peering at the bottom of the music - very studious looking!
