American Country Stores ~ #8 In A Series



This country store was out in the frontier of Ester, Alaska. Life was not easy in Ester in 1910.

Typically no women in the shots! Men chatting on the street and women scrubbing fingers to bone and jostling tired hungry and cold babies on their knees while trying to make dinner and keep the fire in! Possibly....

..Harsh life. The two nearest buildings look like they would blow down with a bird's passing.
