Sugar And Spice

Since her arrival 31 years ago today, this little girl has been making the world a brighter place, one smile at a time. When counting my blessings, she's always at the top of the list.

Happy birthday lil' princess...our girls will always be our lil' angels, my only child will be 42 this August...

Believe me, painting the oak isn't easy for me either...but it sells way better painted in my area. I once had a beautiful Victorian oak dresser with fancy mirror in my shop for 3 years, even had it marked down to $150.00...this was when Rachel Ashwell was just taking hold in the Midwest...I couldn't give it away...soooo...

I painted it white, put $350.00 on it and sold it the next day...go figure!!!

The pieces I've painted in my home will stay here, they have too much history for me to part with, as a matter of fact, the big Eastlake cupboard I acquired from the doctor that delivered me...he was going to put in out for the trash pick-up. He had it half stripped from it's old white paint and I finished doing it.

But I've had the piece for 30 years now...so change was in it for me...and I love it!!!

The two chairs I just painted were a crappy spattered grey paint...easy fix!

I'm gonna go shovel some more...yuck!
