At The Fruit Stand

Although a trip to the grocery store can be met with grumbles and postponed as long as possible, a trip to the fruit stand is quite the opposite.

It's impossible to walk away empty handed.

Lots of local trees are still bearing fruit this time of year, especially lemons, limes, grapefruit and oranges. We have local tomatoes and strawberries all year.

As the jet flies, fresh pineapples from Hawaii are only 5 hours away.

Sweet Repose said... are so lucky to have fresh fruit stands all year...I thought maybe the Mars shot was a mix of all the fruits into a delish smoothie...until I read it...ha, must be time for breakfast!

I love pineapples. I lived in Malawi for two years and pineapple season lasted two weeks a year so for two weeks we stuffed ourselves full of pineapples...
