Along The Shore

The ridges in the sand left by the waves at low tide looked similar to a mountain range.

You can see more shadowy pictures from around the world at Hey Harriet.

I love this shot, a vision of motion, yet a still sense of silence and calm. I occasionally see scenes like this along the mighty Miss, after a barge has gone by and the pseudo-surf it kicks up boils the sands on shore.

It's not the ocean, but it'll have to do until I make my journey elsewhere...or when it thaws...ha!

WoW! looks so serene yet spoty. I am thinking with the motorcross hutches, or what you call it? He he... silly me, poor analysing of photos.

Cool... Happy SS...

I love this one-I love the textural quality of it. It certainly is a 'take me there' kind of image.

What a terrific capture! Like Steven, it makes me want to go walk in the sand. It does have the look of an other worldly mountain range though. Love it! Hope you have a great weekend!

This is unique. I always thought the tide going out would flatten the wet sand. These ridges are neat, a tidal view I had't seen before. Nice!

Wonderful capture of the wet, sandy beach.

Oh, don't you just want to run through that wet sand, leaving your footprint there until the high tide washed it away? Too beautiful
