100 Years Ago In Mississippi



A scant 100 years ago, the sternwheeler Falls City docked at the levee along the Mississippi River in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

One of my long term aims is to see the Mississippi GW - it won't be this year as the holiday is already booked to Italy - but maybe next.

There's so much detail in that picture hiding in the grey. I love how the people are just sitting around - waiting. And no road whatsoever.
