20th Century Barbershops ~ #19 In A Series

John Vachon took this Depression era photograph in Yates Center, Kansas, for the Farm Services Administartion, circa 1939, of a combination newspaper office/barbershop.

These three men below posed in front of their workplace, O'Brien's Barber Shop, in Iowa, 1910.

Next Sunday wraps up this series.

No photographs of old barbershops in Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Hawaii, Indiana or Tennessee were found.

hi golden west, you know that any good barbershop really should also have a "news" sign on it because that's where we got the latest dirt or created it!!!! steven

Perhaps the men in those other places had other venues for getting shorn. Or, maybe the barbers there were more modest :)
